The City of New Bedford unvieled its "Side Lot" program on Monday.

Its where abutting homeowners can purchase vacant, city-owned lots at drastically discounted prices.

Mayor Jon Mitchell made the announcement on a 3,000 square foot vacant lot, adjacent to 1442 Pleasant Street
