Two men were robbed in separate incidents over the weekend, but New Bedford Police say the robberies may be connected.

Police say late Friday morning, and 82-year-old man walking along Deane Street was approached from behind by two men. One of the men placed the elderly man in a headlock while the other man went through the victim's pockets, taking cash.

Police say on Saturday night on North Front Street, a 29-year-old man was robbed in a similar fashion.

The suspects are described as young men, light-skinned, and possibly Hispanic.
