Suspects Placed Victims in Headlocks, Robbed Them
Two men were robbed in separate incidents over the weekend, but New Bedford Police say the robberies may be connected.
Police say late Friday morning, and 82-year-old man walking along Deane Street was approached from behind by two men. One of the men placed the elderly man in a headlock while the other man went through the victim's pockets, taking cash.
Police say on Saturday night on North Front Street, a 29-year-old man was robbed in a similar fashion.
The suspects are described as young men, light-skinned, and possibly Hispanic.
