More help from nearby states is pouring into Massachusetts as the state braces for another hefty snowfall.

Gov. Charlie Baker said neighboring states have been responding to his call for heavy equipment to help plow, remove and melt the mountains of snow blanketing the region.

Boston Mayor Martin Walsh said the city has secured additional resources from Connecticut, New York City and the National Guard to assist Boston's Public Works Department in ongoing snow removal operations.

Walsh said two machines capable of melting 135 tons of snow per hour arrived from New York City on Thursday.

The city has also received backhoes, dump trucks and front end loaders.

Another storm that could dump up to a foot of snow on the Boston area is forecast for the weekend.
