Two parent meetings are scheduled for those interested in learning the plans for New Bedford High School, and what the turnaround plan means for their children.

Superintendent Dr. Pia Durkin is inviting parents to the meetings, in hopes the two sit-downs will spark more parental involvement in the future.

Dr. Durkin tells WBSM News the future of the high school needs to be a two-way conversation.

Parents will learn the details of the turnaround plan, including the mass replacement of teachers, and be able to weigh in on the implementation of the plan and other matters.

The first meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 27, at 2:30pm, with the next meeting scheduled for Monday, March 3, at 6pm. Both are being held in the high school's Family Engagement Center.
