Summer Songs That Keep Us Warm This Winter
It is 6 degrees today. We'd cry if the tears wouldn't freeze before they left our eyeballs. Pete and Neal will be in Florida this time next week, but we want to feel warm now!
We've decided to think warm by playing summer songs. Callers suggested the tunes that remind them that the warm weather is right around the corner. We'll be laying out on the beach with sunscreen in no time.
Kasey is in a "Sunny and 75" state of mind, while her mom seems partial to Sheryl Crow's "Soak Up the Sun." "Kokomo" by The Beach Boys is topping our list, but we did have a few current songs like Kid Rock with "All Summer Long." Others that were mentioned: Will Smith's "Summertime," Zac Brown Band with "Toes," and Nat King Cole's "Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Days of Summer."
We'll be hosting a summer music event in July called "Son of a Beach." After this winter, we are beyond ready to "enjoy the island atmosphere without leaving the New Bedford waterfront!"
