A new summer program may offer new opportunities to some New Bedford High School seniors.

Supt. Pia Durkin proposed her new summer graduation program to the School Committee Monday night. The program will allow students to make up credits and receive their diploma.

Durkin says it's the administration's job to help these students...

Nearly 100 students will be involved in this program. About 20 students have taken a course but failed it while the remaining students have missed a course or two.

Classes will be taught online and in class in small groups.

The program will begin July 7th and will end with a graduation ceremony August 21st.
