FALL RIVER — Fall River Police are investigating after reports of a school bus being operated erratically, resulting in injuries to children on board.

Police received multiple reports at about 4 p.m. on Thursday of a school bus being driven in an erratic manner. The bus was transporting students from the Argosy Charter School.

At about 4:20 p.m., Fall River Police located the bus in question at the intersection of King Phillip and Tuttle Streets. Police say the bus was parked on the side of the road. There was no indication that the bus had been involved in a motor vehicle crash, according to police.

Police officers boarded the bus and found several children who complained of minor injuries. Fall River Fire Department EMS responded to the scene to evaluate and transport the children to area hospitals for further evaluation. Police say the injuries appear to be minor and are not life threatening.

All children have been returned to their parents or guardians.

The driver of the bus has been brought in to Fall River Police Department Headquarters for questioning.

No charges have been filed.

The investigation is ongoing.
