Students Help Homeless Veterans

The after school programs at Ashley and Lincoln Elementary Schools have been working together to fight homelessness.

Lincoln's students are working with the Salvation Army while Ashley students are helping the Veterans Transition House.

4th grade teacher and Site Facilitator Kelly Pacheco said helping those in need, especially homeless veterans, is an important lesson for the kids.

The children will also be making holiday decorations for the Veterans Transition House. Gift baskets will be put together and donated on December 18th.
