Stormy Weather

This morning's storm caused some heavy rain and wind. Wind speeds reached up to 55 miles per hour at around 5 am at the West Island Weather station. A transformer at Grinnell Street and Rt. 6 in East Fairhaven recieved a direct lightening strike which is causing a power outage in portions of that area. There are also reports of some minor flooding in low lying areas.
