My co-workers can't get over the fact that I have been shopping for Halloween candy since Labor Day. It's something I started a few years ago. Every week, starting in September, when I go grocery shopping I pick up two bags of candy. After a few weeks I'm all set for the kids. Of course the biggest issue is staying out of it so I don't eat the candy before the end of October comes.

I came across some tips today:

- Buy the candy you don't like. If it's not one of your favorites, you won't be tempted.

- Put it in a drawer or cabinet. Out of sight, out of mind.

- If you do start to nibble, save the wrappers so you can see how much you are eating.

-And one of our listeners called and said she buys the candy early like I do and then keeps it in the trunk of her car. I think that's a good idea as long as we don't get anymore hot and humid weather, then you'd have one sticky mess!

What is your favorite candy? I try not to buy Peanut Butter Cups because they would never last!
