Steve Harvey Crowns Wrong Woman At Miss Universe Pageant [VIDEO]

For one brief moment on Sunday evening, Colombia appeared to be the winner of the 2015 Miss Universe Pageant. However, the pageants host, Steve Harvey, realized that he made a huge mistake and realized that Colombia was actually the first runner-up, making Miss Philippines the winner.

According to WPRI 12, host Steve Harvey returned to the stage to apologize when Colombia contestant Ariadna Gutierrez Arevalo was already wearing the crown as this year’s Miss Universe winner.

Harvey stated that it was his mistake and that he would take responsibility for not reading the card correctly which named contestant Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach of the Philippines this year’s winner and Colombia the first runner-up.

After being crowned the actual winner, Wurtzbach appeared stunned as she walked to the front of the stage alongside the crown-wearing Arevalo before last year’s Miss Universe from Colombia removed the crown and placed it on Wurtzbach’s head instead.

If it was not bad enough for Harvey just yet, he went to Twitter and posted this tweet, which has since been deleted.

In this tweet, you will notice that he misspelled both “Colombia” and “Philippines.”
