was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, for his work in the team's 23-21, opening night win over the Arizona Cardinals, Sunday.

Gostkowski, who has received this same honor three other times in his career, converted both extra point attempts in the game as well as connecting on three field goals, including one from 47 yards out, one from 53 yards out and what turned out to be the eventual game-winning 32-yard boot in the fourth quarter.

Gostkowski's 32-yard winner, which came with just under four minutes left on the clock, is his eighth career winning kick.

The 11-year vet also played well in the kickoff game, repeatedly pinning the Cardinals deep in their own zone all night long.
