FALMOUTH — Authorities responded to a bus engulfed in flames in a Falmouth parking lot on Saturday afternoon.

The Falmouth Police Department posted a video on Facebook showing a burning bus at the Steamship Authority's parking lot in the town.

The blaze was enough to damage fourteen surrounding cars and destroyed the bus. Police say no one was injured, and that the driver escaped unharmed.  Fire officials were able to knock down the blaze in 45 minutes.

The two-year-old bus was on its away to pick up passengers when it caught fire.  The Steamship Authority says the cause of the fire is under investigation.
