State Police: Two People Shot on County Street in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD — Two people have been transported to Rhode Island Hospital following a double shooting in New Bedford’s near-North End early Sunday morning.

State Police Detectives investigating the scene have confirmed to WBSM News that two people were shot outside of a residence at 1083 County Street at around 3:00 a.m.

Both victims were taken to Rhode Island Hospital with unspecified injuries. The condition of the victims is unknown at this time.

State Police detectives and New Bedford Police remain on scene and an investigation is being conducted.
