State Police Smash Suspected Cocaine Distribution Ring In Taunton
The District Attorney's office says State Police investigators have smashed a major cocaine organization that dealt with the international distribution of narcotics.
A spokesman for D-A Thomas Quinn says State Police arrested three Taunton men last week, and seized two vehicles plus $35,000 worth of cocaine.
Forty-five year old Raymond Algarin and 56 year old Jose Burgos are both being held on high bail following their arraignment in Taunton District Court. Forty-one year old Orlando Rosas Rodriguez is being held without bail. His arraignment is scheduled for Friday.
The arrests capped a ten-month investigation. State Police were assisted by DEA agents and the U.S. Postal Service. D-A Quinn says the arrests have helped make the people of Greater Taunton safer in their communities.
