Massachusetts State Police say they arrested a 35-year-old Cape Cod man after an hour-long chase from Mashpee to New Bedford.

Officials say Earl Cash III of Yarmouth fled from Mashpee police Saturday night when they tried to stop him for driving a stolen SUV. Police told the Cape Cod Times that the chase continued to New Bedford, and Cash struck a New Bedford police cruiser along the way.

State police say the chase ended when Cash's vehicle came to a stop after running over a tire deflation device on Route 195 westbound. No one was injured in the pursuit.

Cash was charged with failing to stop for police, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, cocaine possession and other crimes. It's not clear if he has a lawyer.
