A Carver man has been charged with his seventh OUI offense after he was pulled over in Wareham Monday afternoon.

Massachusetts State Police say that at around 3:30 p.m. Trooper Russell Patenaude observed a 1998 Ford Escort operating erratically on the eastbound side of Interstate 195.

Trooper Patenaude followed the car off the interstate and onto Route 28 in Wareham.

State Police say the car was pulled over when it reached speeds well above the posted limit.

The driver, identified as 53-year-old Harold Reardon, was arrested after a conversation brief investigation and is being charged with OUI Liquor, 7th Offense; Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle; Marked Lanes Violation; Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle; Speeding; and Operating OUI with a License Suspended for OUI

Reardon, who's license was suspended for life in 2009, was transported to the Plymouth County Correctional Facility where he is being held on $5000 bail.
