State Honoring Hero George Heath

Just recently we reported that WBSM and FUN107 presented our Hometown Hero award to Rosemary Heath, the widow of George Heath, the GNB Voc Tech teacher who was killed while in the act of heroism trying to protect a pregnant waitress during a murder spree. ABC6 is now reporting the George Heath will be this year's posthumous recipient of the coveted Madeline Amy Sweeney Award For Civilian Bravery by Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito at the Massachusetts State House on September 11, a historic day in America.

Along with our radio stations, the Hometown Hero award was co-sponsored by Care Free Homes and First Federal Citizen's Credit union.
