State Auditor Suzanne Bump says the operations of the New Bedford Housing Authority are satisfactory, with no serious problems detected during a recent audit....

There were some deficiencies however. The Auditor says there were incomplete inventories of the Authority's furniture and equipment, and some fringe benefits for the Executive Director had not been treated as taxable compensation. That issue has since been corrected.

Housing Authority Director Steve Beauregard said via e-mail, he was pleased with the audit. He said the auditor's recommendations have been taken under advisement, and he beleives the agency is in full compliance.
