More than 100 students at Bishop Stang High School in Dartmouth will be experiencing the life of a homeless person this weekend.

They'll be taking part in the school's cardboard tent city, sleeping in cardboard boxes Saturday night on the school's athletic fields.

Stang teacher Jackie McCarthy tells WBSM News, the exercise is a serious attempt to show students how the less fortunate live.....

McCarthy says the students will abandon their cell phones and other electronics for the night.

The students have also been collecting pledges, and all the money raised will be contributed to food pantries and homeless shelters in the area.
