Stabbing Suspect Turns Himself In

A man wanted for a stabbing at a South End bar, turned himself in at New Bedford Police Headquarters on Thursday.

Kyle Costa is accused of slashing a 44 year old Dartmouth man on the neck, during an argument early Monday at the Redwood Saloon on Cove Road.

Police found the victim with a four-inch knife wound on his neck. The man was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment.

Det. Captain Steve Vicente says the 33-year old Costa surrendered to Police just before 12 noon.  He’s facing charges in District Court of attempted murder and assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon.
