Too many customers is a nice problem to have. But Southeastern Regional Transit Authority Administrator Erik Rousseau sees it as inefficiency, and is looking to make improvements to the heavily used New Bedford-Fall River bus route.

Rousseau says up to 25,000 people a month utilize that route, which runs on the hour, causing serious issues.

Rousseau says adding two more buses to the route, running every half hour, would likely resolve the problem. The additional buses would cost over $900,000 a year to operate.

A comprehensive service assessment is being performed by SRTA, and should be completed by the end of December.
