Veterans Day is Sunday and the Southcoast is coming out in full to honor the men and women who have served in our country's armed forces.

The Fairhaven Improvement Association and the Fairhaven VFW is hosting a Veterans Day Dinner Dance at the VFW on Middle Street in the town from 7-11pm November 10th. For tickets and more information call Teresa at 508-994-7266.

New Bedford's annual Veterans Day Parade steps off at 10am from Buttonwood Park, Nov. 11. The procession will head down Union Street to Wings Court where a ceremony will be held.

The Fort Taber-Fort Rodman Historical Association is holding their 9th annual Veterans Appreciation Day program at the Military Museum at 1pm, Nov. 11. Guest speakers include U.S. Army Captains Tom and Peter Clark.

Acushnet's 5th annual Flag Raising is being held at 10am, Nov. 11, at the Acushnet Town Hall.

And Fairhaven's Veterans Day Parade also gets it's start at 10am Nov. 11, leaving from the Oxford School and ending at the high school where a brief ceremony and cannon-firing will be held.
