Shelters are open in most Southcoast communities, New Bedford has opened the Keith Middle School as a shelter, and the Pilgrim United Church is open Downtown.  Selectman Joe Michaud says Dartmouth has a shelter open as well.

The warming shelter in Acushnet will remain open, according to Selectman David Wojnar........

Acushnet residents needing a ride to the shelter should call the Fire Dept.  In Wareham, residents can use the Town Hall Multi-Service room to ride out the storm. The Hastings Middle School in Fairhaven is also open as a shelter for town residents. Officials are asking residents without power and the elderly to take shelter at these facilities if necessary.  NSTAR reports there are still 186,000 customers without power on the Southcoast, Eastern Mass., and Cape Cod.
