More than 100 small businesses were represented Wednesday at White's of Westport during the annual Southcoast Business Expo, sponsored by Chambers of Commerce in New Bedford and Fall River.

New Bedford Chamber Executive Roy Nascimento says the Expo is a good way for small businesses to network and share information.

Though the economy appears to be improving, Nascimento says local businesses are still struggling with finding trained employees....

The expo also featured a number of workshops on subjects like communication and team building and doing business in the digital age.

Nascimento says the Chamber is also working with UMass Dartmouth on plans for a regional job fair next spring.
