SouthCoast Rail Project Part Of State’s Transportation Finance Plan

The Patrick Administration has including $1.8 billion for the Southcoast Rail Project, as part of a ten year, $13 billion, transportation finance plan. State Transportation Secretary Richard Davey says the state’s key tranportation issues must be addressed.

Several funding options are listed in the plan including increase the gas tax, income tax or sales tax, and automated toll machines that would charge folks for the number of miles they drive each year.
