Another winter storm is hitting Southern New England, bringing with it heavy snow, strong winds and blizzard conditions near the Massachusetts coast.  The National Weather Service says the heaviest snowfalls of 10 to 14 inches will occur in Eastern Massachusetts and parts of Rhode Island.

Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick is asking residents to avoid travel with blizzard conditions expected tonight in the eastern part of the state.

Coastal areas will be hit especially hard with heavy snow and winds gusting over 50 miles per hour.

The parking ban in the City of New Bedford is now in effect.  Mayor Jon Mitchell has the details.

New Bedford's parking ban will last till 3pm Monday, or until the Mayor decides to cancel it.  Wareham and Dartmouth have also declared parking bans.

Weather observer M-L  Baron reminds us, once the storm is over, there's another headache to think about....

Termperatures on Sunday are forecasted for only the upper 20's.
