Big day today, I gave blood for the first time.  I don't know why I haven't done this before, I guess it's because I thought it would take too much time or that it wasn't convenient for me.

No excuses today as the Southcoast Health Van came to the radio station and held a blood drive.  I could not believe how easy it is to give, you go through a quick screening process, lay down in a big comfy chair and the process starts, if you have ever had blood taken for tests it's just about the same process for giving the pint of blood.

The entire process was about 30 minutes, that is a short amount of time to know that your donation will go to help save someone's life.  Southcoast Hospital's use quite a bit of blood every year and they always need donations.  Take some time out of your day and give, I guarantee that it will make you feel good knowing you may have saved a life.
