The Somerset Country Store, located at 1804 County Street, was robbed at gunpoint last night at about 10:45pm.

According to The Herald News, “police are reviewing surveillance video this morning to determine the identity of the suspect, who fled on foot eastbound on Marble Street.”

The store clerk told police that the suspect entered the store, walked past the register to around the side of the counter, and pointed a handgun, described to be a semi-automatic at him. The suspect got away with a very small, undisclosed amount of money from the register drawer and the counter.

The suspect was described to be a black male who was wearing a large jacket and hoodie with only his eyes and nose visible.
