But, in a new study of kids' sports injuries treated by ER doctors at Boston Children's Hospital, it turns out that soccer leads the scoring with ACL and MCL tears and breaks, according to study researcher, Hilary Levey Friedman.

In a separate study by Harvard Medical School, another concern was head trauma caused in soccer, where researchers found alarming changes in areas of the brain responsible for memory and high-level cognition.

In most cases, soccer injuries surpassed those in other contact sports.
