For awhile Saturday, it looked like some serious snowfall was headed our way.  But early Sunday, it started to mix with rain, and ended up a slushy mess on most areas of the SouthCoast.   Snowfall in our region amounted to about an inch or two.

Temperatures are expected to drop in the 20's late Sunday, so now is the time to clear off the sidewalks and driveways, before the slush freezes.

Mass. State Police in Dartmouth report a couple of minor crashes overnight.

Other parts of the Northeast faced much more difficult weather. Double-digit snow totals were reported Saturday in parts of northern Pennsylvania and southern New York, while New York City's Central Park got 5 inches. Parts of Connecticut got more than half a foot.
