If you've spent an arm and a leg on your kid's Halloween costumes this year, here's the best way to make sure you're getting your money's worth. Halloween events are happening every weekend all across our area and not only are they fun for the whole family, but they are sure to create memories to last a lifetime.  Here's our list of not-so-spooky fun for the whole gang. Be sure to contact the venues for any additional information, as some require registration in advance.

Pumpkins Aglow at Edaville USA, Carver
Open weekends beginning Friday, Oct. 2nd from  6:00pm -10:00pm.  Stroll through the garden of jack-o-lanterns, trick or treat in costume at your favorite rides or take a haunted train ride. Pumpkins Aglow is a family-friendly way to celebrate Halloween and is great for all ages.

Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular at Roger William's Park Zoo, Providence, RI
This is the one of the more popular Fall traditions in our area- a display of 5,000 jack-o-lanterns professionally carved and illuminated throughout the zoo. This event opens on October 1st and runs through November 1st. Tickets and information can be found here.

Boo at the Zoo, Buttonwood Park Zoo, New Bedford
This annual event returns to the Buttonwood Park Zoo for another year of "slightly spooky" fun for families of all ages. The event kicks off on Friday, October 9th and runs each Friday, Saturday and Sunday through October 30th from 6p-9pm. New this year is Baby Boo at the Zoo on October 30th from 10:00 -12:00n and includes a costume contest and parade. All proceeds from "Boo at the Zoo" support the Zoo’s educational and family programs.

Trunk or Treat at YMCA, New Bedford
Sunday, October 25th from 5:30 - 7:00pm
Kids are invited to trick or treat in the parking lot of the Downtown New Bedford YMCA .Cars trunks are decorated as different creatures or with different themes and kids' go trunk to trunk collecting the goods! There are prizes for best decorated car and best costumes. The cost to trick or treat is $3 and the cost to enter your car is $10. Halloween Party for Individuals with Autism and Their Families, Frerichs Farm,
Each year Frerichs Farm in Warren, RI hosts this special event to give children and their families affected by Autism a day of fun.  This year's party is Saturday, October 3rd from 12n-4pm. Enjoy a pirate ship, scavenger hunt, bubble table, bounce house, food and fun! . You must register HERE in order to attend. RSVPs due by September 24th.

Pachet Brook Tree Farm, Tiverton
Located at 4484 Main Road in Tiverton, this farm is just a few minutes from Fall River and offers family-friendly Halloween Hayrides Monday through Sunday from 10:00a - 4:30p. Rides begin September 22nd and reservations are needed for rides Monday through Friday but walk-ins are welcome on Saturday and Sunday. Follow them on Facebook here.
