Slain Marine Was 2012 GNB Voke Tech Graduate

The Fairhaven Marine killed this week in Afghanistan was a recent graduate of Greater New Bedford Voke Tech High School.

Nineteen year old Mathew Rodriquez was in the plumbing shop at Voke Tech, and graduated in 2012.

Supt. Linda Enos tells WBSM News, Rodriquez was described by his shop teachers as a good student who was kind to everyone.

Enos says the school will hold a memorial service for Rodriquez later in the school year.
