Should Tax Payer Money Go To National Public Radio?

Money is tight. Lots of folks are living pay check to pay check! Should tax dollar subsidies continue to help fund National Public Radio?

NPR brings in a lot of money from donations, corporations and merchandising income. So is it fair to have hard earned tax payer money fund something like that? It certainly doesn't seem like it is, especially when there are much pressing matters to give that sort of money too.

Sure, everyone could use a little help from government funding,  but all things considered - should NPR pay its own way?
