An 84-year-old woman crashed into the 7-11 in Fairhaven on Wednesday morning. The woman had mistakenly pressed the gas pedal instead of the brakes. This led the three WBSM hosts to pose a question for their listeners. "Should seniors 75+ have to retake the driver's test?"

Of the 62% who said yes, some also claimed that driver's of all ages should have to be retested every ten years or so to make sure that they still understand the rules of the road, reaction time is still in check, etc.

Of the 28% who said no, did so due to age discrimination.

And one of the suggestions made in lieu of retaking the whole test was to just check eyesight, hearing and reaction time instead. This way a rep at the RMV can still judge whether or not the person is safe behind the wheel without them having to go through the whole process all over again.
