Shots Fired in New Bedford’s North End

New Bedford's ShotSpotter system detected three gunshots early Friday morning in the city's North End.

Police say the shots were fired just before 3am behind Market Basket on Belleville Avenue. Witnesses told police someone had fired shots through the window of a neighborhood home.

No injuries were reported.

The incident remains under investigation.
