Fall River Police are investigating after shots were fired Wednesday night.

Lt. Ronald Furtado says that at around 6:12 p.m. officers were sent to the 200 block of Fifth Street after it was reported that several shots were being fired in the area.

Officers arrived on scene where they spoke to an eyewitness who said they saw a light skinned male, with a medium build, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall, armed with a handgun, shooting toward Morgan St.

Furtado says upon investigation officers found two spent shell casings in the area.

No injuries were reported and the incident is being investigated by the Fall River Police Department’s Uniform Division and Major Crimes Division.
