Shortage Of Wood Pellets This Winter

According to Acushnet Alternative Heating's owner Luke Niemec, if you own a pellet stove, you may want to stock up due to an expected shortage of pellets again this winter. Last winter season was long, snowy and super cold, calling for increased demand and shortages throughout the region.

This year's shortage will be due to one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of pellets closing down production in order to retool the machinery for greater production. The company has stated that they will stop production for up to three months to accommodate this upgrade. In the long run, it will be better in order to be able to produce more product.
