Shooting At Cape Verdean Club In Falmouth

Falmouth Police are investigating a shooting at a Sunday night concert.

Police say that at around 10:30 p.m. officers were sent to the Cape Verdean Club at 126 Sandwich Rd. over reports of gunshots.

Earlier in the evening the private club ended a concert and closed the venue after some patrons complained that a man had shown a gun in his waistband.

A number of men then got into a fight outside the club which resulted in one of them being shot multiple times, including in the left knee.

The fight participants had left the scene by the time officers arrived and the victim sought his own transportation to Falmouth Hospital.

Police say the victim has refused to cooperate with investigators and none of the individuals present have offered any assistance.
