Sheriff Arpaio Wants More Patriotism In Prison

America’s toughest sheriff is at it again.  Arizona’s controversial sheriff Joe Arpaio is putting dozens of inmates on a diet of bread and water as punishment for defacing American flags placed in their jail cells.

So far, 38 male inmates have been slapped with the penalty for seven days after their alleged unpatriotic acts.  Arpaio called the destruction of the flags, which included tearing and writing on them, a disgrace.

The flags are part of a patriotism push Arpaio is instilling in Maricopa County jails that includes listening to the “Star Spangled Banner” every morning and “God Bless America” every night over the intercom system.  (Metro Networks Inc)
