Fairhaven firefighters were called to the scene of a shed fire on Tuesday.

Firefighter Wayne Oliveira says the fire took place at 2 Phillips St. and was reported by a neighbor who saw flames coming from the shed.

Two engines responded to the scene and upon arrival found the shed fully involved in fire.

The fire was contained to the 10’x10’ wooden shed which was built up against a garage wall.

All contents in the shed were destroyed and damage was estimated at roughly $1,000.

Fire crews remained on the scene for approximately one hour.

No injuries were reported.

Oliveira says it's believed the fire was started accidentally when some hot embers were left to close to the structure after a cooking fire Monday night.
