Shaw’s In Fairhaven Evacuated After Odor Scare

Grocery shoppers and employees at Shaws in Fairhaven had to evacuate the store late Friday afternoon after a noxious odor spread throughout the building.  Fairhaven Fire Department's Public Information Officer Wayne Oliveira tells WBSM News, the problem started in the receiving area at the rear of the store...

Oliveira says the store was evacuated for about 90 minutes while firefighters and a maintenance crew from Shaws went to work......

No one was hurt.  The store reopened just before 7pm.
