Seven Arrested in New Bedford Drug Raid

New Bedford Police arrest seven people in a weekend drug raid.

Late Saturday morning, police executed a search warrant at an apartment at 10 Acushnet Avenue in the South End.

During surveillance of the home, five suspected customers were taken into custody for purchasing cocaine at the house.

Arrested were:

• Manuel Reynerio Mejia, age 20 of 929 County St. NB
• Charles Ammon Sr., age 51 of 9 Clark St. NB
• Deborah Houle, age 57 of 1076 County St. NB
• Brent Doucette, age 34 of 149 Break Neck Rd. Wareham
• Rachel Arraiol, age 33 of 379 Cedar St. NB

They are all charged with possession of cocaine.

When police entered the home, they arrested the two occupants, 19-year-old Calvin Cepeda-Smith and 37-year-old David Carrion. They both face drug trafficking charges.

During the raid, police seized 72 grams of cocaine, five grams of heroin, and $627 in cash.
