All public officials should be plain-spoken and straightforward. With the media political flap over Attorney General Jeff Sessions, the AG should have amended the official record with a public letter. The answer he gave to Sen. Al Franken's question wasn't, in my opinion, complete enough, but that's not perjury. The democrats should dispense with the hysteria, but that's like yelling at an earthquake to stop shaking. They didn't raise their voices for Attorney General Loretta Lynch to recuse herself after a secret meeting with former President Bill Clinton on the plane in Phoenix.

I believe the Attorney General did the right thing when he recused himself, but that's not an admission of wrongdoing, by any means. Maybe Mr. Sessions didn't give as full a picture as he could have, but that's not lying!
