SERTA To Add More Buses On New Bedford To Fall River Run

Beginning Monday, SERTA is adding more buses on its busiest route, New Bedford to Fall River with a stop at the Dartmouth Mall.

General Manager Market Burke tells WBSM's Brian Thomas, "right now a bus leaves New Bedford every hour on the hour, right up till 8 o'clock at night.  Starting on the 17th, there will be a bus leaving at 9am, then another bus at 9:30 and so on, right up until 4:30pm," said Burke.

He says more buses were added because the hourly runs were becoming overcrowded .

Burke adds SERTA has also brought on new drivers to cover the increased bus runs.
