Republican U.S. Sen. Scott Brown says he'll probably watch football instead of his Democratic opponent's speech at the Democratic National Convention.

Brown jokingly told reporters that he will watch the New York Jets take on the Dallas Cowboys, and not Elizabeth Warren's speech Wednesday night.

He fumbled on team names, as the New York Giants, not the Jets, are playing the Cowboys in the opening game of the NFL season.

The Republican added, on a more serious note, that he will try and catch his opponent's speech, which he hopes will touch on the national debt.

He also criticized Warren's tax policy, which he says will kill jobs and ``crush'' middle class Americans.

Brown discussed the national convention following a tour of the Excel Academy Charter School in East Boston.
