Sen. Montigny Calling for “Course Correction” In Harbor Cleanup

Senator Mark Montigny is calling on the EPA to commit to a full and complete clean up of toxic PCB’s in New Bedford Hharbor.
The Senator tells WBSM News, he fears the $366-million settlement the EPA reached with the AVX Corporation might not be enough to fully clean the harbor.

The Senator fired off a letter to the newly appointed interim head of the EPA, Robert Perciasepe, saying he’s concerned about the direction the agency is taking on the cleanup of the harbor and urges the agency to make a “major course correction”.
