Seekonk Woman Charged After Passing Out in Car Behind New Bedford Business

A Seekonk woman is being charged with operating under the influence of drugs after being found unresponsive in her car behind a New Bedford business.

Police say 33-year-old Dawn Barnett of Seekonk was found in her 1997 Toyota Corolla Saturday afternoon in the rear parking lot of Giammalvo's Market. The vehicle was running at the time and was blocking the exit to the parking lot.

Officers administered two doses of naloxone. Barnett was transported to St. Luke's Hospital.

No damage or injuries were reported.
