Seekonk Police are asking for the public's help in finding the vehicle that struck and killed Assistant Town Clerk Karen McHugh.

McHugh was struck on January 30 by a vehicle traveling south on Arcade Avenue heading towards Taunton Avenue.

Police say the car was most likely a dark colored General Motors sedan, which most likely has front end damage and passenger side damage, including damage to a side view mirror.

It should also be missing an amber directional lens which may be from one the following car models:

2004-2005 Chevrolet Malibu Classic
1997-2005 Chevrolet Malibu
1997-1999 Oldsmobile Cutlass
1997-1998 Oldsmobile Achieva
1996 Chevrolet Beretta
1996 Chevrolet Corsica

Police are also asking area auto body repair shops, glass companies, auto salvage businesses, and auto parts stores to contact them if they see any purchases of parts that may be consistent with the type of damage done when McHugh was hit.

Anyone with information is asked to call Seekonk Police at 508-336-8123.

Those who wish to remain anonymous may call the tip line at 508-336-7027 ext. 9, or they can send an e-mail to tips@seekonkpd.com.

Karen McHugh's Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 7:00  at the Seekonk Congregational Church at 600 Fall River Avenue in Seekonk.
