Massachusetts Secretary of Housing and Workforce Development Greg Bialecki met with business leaders in New Bedford Wednesday, promoting continued growth and partnership between comanies and education centers.

Bialecki tells WBSM News the Southcoast has a "happy problem" where businesses are looking to hire more workers, but are coming up short in trained, educated help.

The Secretary says vocational schools and colleges need to focus on producing even more work-ready men and women than ever before to supply the demand for skilled labor.

Bialecki's visit to New Bedford's industrial park is part of a statewide tour, encouraging communities to connect more effectively with existing resources to encourage job growth.
